2. Build your community. Running a small to medium-sized machine shop is an immense challenge. The obstacles you face are unique, and in the absence of a robust board or C-suite, it can be difficult to find the support you need. NTMA comprises over 1,000 shops like yours, and we’ve made it part of our mission to create a community where industry leaders can share knowledge, resources, and solutions.
All staff of NTMA member companies are encouraged to join our LinkedIn Group, where they can connect with other machinists and manufacturers. Additionally, we host events year-round that are designed to bring members together around shared concerns while connecting them to industry leaders who can answer their questions.
