The National Tooling and Machining Foundation (NTMF) voted at the 2017 MFG Meeting to support any NTMA Chapter that purchases or renews an NTMA-U portal by paying half of a year’s total costs — a $2,500 value!
Benefits of NTMA-U Portals
The portals allow for access to high-quality online training anytime, anywhere. This provides members access to great training at the time and place that works best for them, instead of being tied to a traditional schedule at an educational institution.
The portals come with all current NTMA-U content – an online mechanical aptitude test great for assessing potential hires or current employees for promotions or job changes, a shop safety course, and six semesters of content developed for the precision machining industry.
Portal Structure and Pricing
The portals support up to 199 learners each, for a total price of $5,000 per year, and there are higher tiers available for additional learners. Portal start-up and ongoing portal administration services are also available for additional fees.
Support for Portal Set-Up and Administration
NTMA will support each chapter with administrator training via webinar. NTMA is also developing an online administrator training curriculum for anytime support. We are identifying additional training needs for our membership, and will add new content over time.
Don’t Miss Out!
This is a fantastic opportunity for chapters to provide this huge benefit to members! If your chapter is interested in starting up a portal or renewing an existing portal agreement, please contact Stacey Schroeder, the Director of Workforce Development, at sschroeder@ntma.org or at 216-264-2834 to get the process going!
