NTMA Member Companies Celebrate 7th Annual MFG Day by Opening Doors for Tours, Education Programs
CLEVELAND, OH – October 5, 2018 – Members of the National Tooling and Machining Association all across the United States are participating today in the seventh annual Manufacturing Day, a national event dedicated to raising awareness about career opportunities in the manufacturing sector.
To celebrate Manufacturing Day – or MFG Day – NTMA members will join more than 2,500 manufacturing companies in opening their doors to students, teachers, lawmakers and other community members for plant tours and information sessions.
“Manufacturing is thriving here in the US, but a shortage of skilled workers threatens to slow the growth of our industry,” said NTMA President Dean Bartles. “MFG Day is a unique opportunity for NTMA members and others in our industry to demonstrate the wide range of career opportunities available in our industry right now.”
Find an MFG Day event at an NTMA member company or other manufacturer on the MFG Day website.

“NTMA is a proactive leader in tackling the manufacturing industry skills gap and striving to recruit and retain a new generation of manufacturers,” Bartles continued. “MFG Day is an important part of our members’ year-round efforts to spread the word that manufacturers are hiring for high-tech jobs in high-paying fields. We are happy to celebrate the future of manufacturing today and every day.”
