In celebration of NTMA’s 75th Anniversary, the National Tooling & Machining Foundation is creating Manufacturing’s Next Generation Scholarship Fund in honor of Roger J. Sustar of Fredon Corporation in Mentor, OH. This new scholarship will benefit high school seniors that participate in the National Robotics League and are pursuing a post-secondary educational pathways toward a career in manufacturing.
Roger J. Sustar is the perfect example of the impact that one person can make by being a champion in closing the skills gap and we are proud to name this scholarship is his honor. Through the Alliance for Working Together Foundation, Mr. Sustar has been a force in NE Ohio in building a consortium of manufacturing companies and community leaders to engage thousands of students in programs and activities that promote rewarding careers in manufacturing.
The inability to meet labor demands will continue to negatively impact US economic growth unless action is taken now to build our future. As a manufacturer, what better investment can you make than to put your financial resources into the next generation? What would be more valuable than ensuring a bright future for our industry?
Please consider making a donation today at www.tinyurl.com/NTMF-NXTGen. The NRL attracts smart, capable students who love to build things and solve problems. Exactly the type of people who we hope will make up the next generation of manufacturing leaders. Through your generosity, we will be able to ensure that these talented students stay in the pipeline.
If each NTMA member donates a minimum of $75 to the Fund, then we would have the ability to award two scholarships annually to these desiring students. Click over to www.tinyurl.com/NTMF-NXTGen and make a difference today!
